I've been buying all kinds of plastic bags for my trash containers for years. I'm 65 and anal about a nasty trash can because I keep it in the garage. It seems my can has a huge opening although it says it's a 96 gallon on the side of it. I buy bags that are 96 or 100 gallon and they won't fit around it. It's from Waste Management so I think it's a pretty standard can. I have also bought bags that are heavier than 1.3 mil thinking I needed them to be stronger. I have discovered these are the BEST! They are plenty big to fit my big ole can. The 1.3 mil is plenty strong for the trash I put in it. ( Including sometimes sticks and boards and garage junk.) The stronger bags are just over kill. I put a rubber band around it because it easier for me than tying it. I've learned you don't need to change them every week. I use mine for at least a month before I change it out.
