Great idea just very strong smell and they shrunk when washed in cold water and line dried. They are now just a bit larger than quart size zip lock bag.So far I like these bags. They were a little smelly out of the packaging, but after washing them twice, they are now okay. They are constructed well, and they seem durable enough. I've used them at the grocery store for produce a few times, and I haven't had any issues. I'm happy with them so far--and really happy that I can use fewer plastic bags.…which is not a huge problem for me, but it might be for others. Despite the shrinkage, the muslin seems to be of pretty good quality, with the stitching and drawstrings being a little better than average. I sure wish manufacturers who use 100% cotton for their products would wash their fabrics first. Shrinkage is so hard to estimate. At least one knows if the fabric has been pre- washed, the shrinkage will be much less to nonexistent, depending on the quality of the fabric.Purchased these to put holiday gifts in. I love that they come in different sizes. My HTV adheres nicely as well so I can decorate and customize as I like.These are well-constructed and sturdy and held up well in my front-loader washer and dryer.Plastics in our oceans are destroying our food supply and having a major impact on our planet. These bags have already replaced dozens of bags I would have sent to the landfill. Love them!I have a bad habit of keeping the bags of onions and potato's just on the floor in the unused corner of my kitchen.Not a good idea. My son was doing a deep clean and the onions had mold on them that was attaching to the floor...gross.These are a very expandable material that will hold any normal size bag of onions. I have had them up for a few weeks now and they stay nice and aired out. I should have done this years ago.I used the standard 3M hooks so they don't damage the wall at all. It also 'look' healthier as well.These smelled a little bit when they first arrived, but were easy to wash and work great. I was so sick of trying to open and use the plastic produce bags at the grocery store with a mask on (suppressing that reflex to lick your fingers to get them open, then trying to get them open WITHOUT doing so... ugh). These mesh bags solve that problem and cut down on plastic use! The trick is keeping a couple in the car for impromptu trips to the store.These are neat little bags that will be great for -- well, anything you might use a cloth bag for. The drawstrings cinch up snugly, and the seams are very well stitched.Here's a tip for putting self-stick labels onto cloth bags: Using masking tape, frame out a rectangle on the bag that's the size of the label you want to use.
