I am updating my review - somehow I had originally received a faulty product, but this wonderful company sent me a replacement and it is PERFECT - no bad smell at all. I really like this product and it really works for me. I use it in all my shoes and even socks!Below is the old review, and the company and the product have since then redeemed themselves to me as a customer!!!!!I just opened a package I purchased in early August and these smell like a very nasty chemical. I put them in socks and shoes and they both ended up smelling the same nasty smell.I have used products like these before and have NEVER had this problem. And, sadly, since it is past the 30 day return policy, I am unable to return them, and will not be able to use them.I wish the sellers would honor a return, but I can't find a link to communicate with them. HELP!Maybe it's because my kids have the worst smelling cleats in the world, but this doesn't remove all the smell. It certainly helps me not be so nauseous when they decide to pull the shoes out in the car.Overall I think they've done a decent job of fighting a losing battle.I liked the product and reused it on smellySlippers.When I tried to reactivate the coal it diddid not work well.It reactivates in the sunlight and I live a rainy winter climate . OopsI was really skeptical at first but for the price, it was worth a go. Followed the directions, stuck them in my embarrassingly stinky shoes, and after a few days, I noticed odor was reduced. Great buy!They pull moisture & bad odors right out of your shoes. I play Pickleball, cycle road & mountain bike trails, hike etc Needless to say I've got about 4 pairs of shoes for each of those active pastimes & a pair of these in each set of shoes.!!Have several. Use them in all my regularly used shoes.I am kind of obsessed with this product. I have pretty sweaty feet and i use two per shoe. This product has absorbed all moisture in my shoes between uses and taken 98% of the smell with it. I have enough for all my shoes to have them in between uses now.Use for cars as I drive a lot after sweety practice & don't wanna have residual odor. Also use in boxing gloves bc I'm a fan of scented wipes but neutral deodorizers.
