I purchase this Wrangle cross-body purse on an impulse. I love western style leather tooling and the turquoise and black "leather" combination caught my eye.I am happy to say that the craftmanship of this Montana West bag holds to their reputation of quality materials and good design. The outer slip pocket is large enough to hold my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra in its case. Wow. I did not expect that. The zippers are all smooth and functional. It comes with a wristlet strap and a cross-body strap. The cross-body strap is a bit longer than usual, but for me, I like this feature. The purse rides at my hip level. This purse is the perfect size for shopping with the girls or a date night when I don't need to carry more than my wallet, lipstick, phone, and pen. I can see it as a pouch in a larger bag too.The bag is not real leather, which is stated in the description. It still has a comfortable feel in the hand and from a distance, I don't believe people would know it was faux unless they were looking for it. The tooled panel does have a somewhat plastic appearance. Clearly, it has been molded and not handcrafted. Considering the price I paid, I find this acceptable. A true tooled leather purse could go for a few hundred dollars depending on the craftsperson making it. This bag was very affordable and considering it is designed for causal outings, the molded design is not a deal breaker to me.Finally, there was a bit of smell from the purse when I first opened the package. It doesn't smell like leather. It is not leather. However, the plastic scent is faint enough I feel it will disapate in a short time and should not be an issue. If the above issues are not a deal break to you, I feel I can recommend this purse. The price is reasonable, the stitching and materials solid. The size of the pockets, especially the phone pocket, are perfect. Pick your favorite color and go for it.
