They were thick, durable, and came with a little plank of plastic in the bottom to give your bag added stability. Now that grocery stores CHARGE for reusable cloth bags, they're not as strong or durable... and they do not come with any bottom support. Funny, free provided a better product than what you pay for...Anyway...These reusable bags are good quality, machine washable (place inside a netted bag for best results), and HAVE a bottom support! The cost is good and have lasted (so far) two months with no rips or tears. Highly recommend these bags!I purchased the ten-pack of bags to help move and store household belongings from an apartment to a storage unit. These are capable of holding up to 50 pounds I believe, although I did not put that quite to the test because I can't even lift 50 pounds myself. One of the ten bags had a slight defect - there was a tear along one of the seams. But I used it anyway, and it didn't fall apart. They fold up easily when not in use, and have a thin but sturdy piece that slides into the bottom to make a nice flat base. They're not ungainly large but they do hold a LOT of stuff.
