Do not let them see the sun at all. I would give a 3 star, but they do not explain well enough how little sun they can take before you can lift them without falling apart. I am unsure what the application for these bags is given the discretion for use. We used them for trash while redoing the house, and they did not hold up. I'm not sure who has a forklift that can go inside so you can keep them out of the sunlight but if you have one they will work perfectly.
