First off, if you buy the box of 25 teabags, they come individually wrapped which was great for me in an office setting. If you buy them in the cylinder packaging, they are just loose bags (which isn't a big deal, just good to know.)Guess I should've taken pics for this review before I drank it all.The reason these are better than other black teabags is because they have more intact leaves vs the CTC (cut, tear, curl) stuff you find in others. This noticeably reduces the bitterness and lets you actually taste the tea more.The pyramid bags are decently sized and provide good enough flow, and there is almost no dust or particulate.Other than that it tastes like what you would expect from an Indian black tea, just a more specific taste because its from Assam, and not a blend of different regions like really big companies make.I like that it says hot water on the packaging instead of boiling water, because you should probably use less than boiling for this and take the bag out after 2-3 minutes.The packaging does say that it is whole leaf which is not right, its definitely well broken up and nowhere near whole leaf.At about $0.42 a cup for the box of 25 individually wrapped bags, I'd say its definitely worth it and you should give it a try if you're curious.I just had my first cup of this tea. The way I make it involves flushing the tea with the hot water and then brewing it for 4 minutes. The flushing gets rid of any dust and a little of the caffeine. It didn’t hurt the flavor at all. I added raw sugar and fresh lemon. It’s my dessert after lunch and dinner. This tea has just the right amount of astringency and is bold enough to add either lemon or milk. Love it, ordering more!The tea was good but when received it was past the optimal date. It saysd best if drank within 12 months of packing, it was 17 months when I received it. I would be willing to try again but don't know how to ensure I get fr4esh productSo far it seems to do well for me. I've only had two cups so far. I will know better in time. My first cup did help me have the energy to do the reading and writing I needed to finish. I'm doing my second cup now. If I order a second can you'll know how much I like it. I also do like the can feature. Being retired I only get paid once a month so I can't order it too often.Tea was very good, I'd say really good quality. Takes away my headaches. the only thing I didn't like was that container smelled terrible inside, may be like gasoline or something... But since tea was in a sealed beg inside, it seem to not soak in that smell.Assam Black Tea has a smooth, clear energetic effect on the body-mind. I have been a tea sipper for decades and have seldom had such a fine cup of tea. I drink it without any sweeteners or creams/milk. I did try it with almond milk just for the effect and it was also a smooth drink. I look for beverages that harmonize with my diet and my need for "easy energy" throughout the day and evening. I whole-heartedly recommend this product and the company, TEAMONK.Probably, it is not organic. The taste is strong, the flavor is not so rich. I would like to mix it with some herbs. Or, maybe, brew for 3 min, as it's recommended on the jar. The darjeeling tea is better, I think.Great tea, loose leaf adds so many health benefits. Feel much better. Highly recommend it.Good tea, good flavour, the colour and flavour of liquor after 5 minutes brewing in a pot is just mild, but after 7 minutes it’s full bodied however, the temperature drops. Must use a tea cosy for the pot while brewing. Has a very mild floral note which is very refreshing in the evenings.Superb packaging, I hope my next purchase will be a refill so I can use this well made tin again without having to pay for more high end, resource consuming packaging!Packaging - 1 star. The box came crumpled on top. Stains on bottom. But the tea is in sealed aluminium foil, so I don't think tea quality got affected. Very very mildly malty. This was a big downer for me personally. What's an assam tea without its malty flavour and aroma.But easy drinking. No fireworks, no kickstart. You have to steep this for 3+ minutes. But steep it for 5+ and you'll get that astringent flavour of the leaves. Less than 3 and it's just too mild a flavour.If u r the milk and sugar kind this is not your tea. It won't give you colour, taste or fragrance. You will in effect just drink hot sweet diluted milk. Your morning will be spoilt, guaranteed. Steer clear.Fragrance - 0 fragrance. 0*I drink black tea. No sugar.This for me is a 3* tea. They promised tea leaves they gave tea leaves. But are they fresh? Far from it. Does it satisfy your assam tea craving - not a chance.
