Our needles produce a tea that is nutrient dense with a woodsy aroma and pleasant mild citrus like flavor that warms the soul. A drop or two of honey or a spritz of fresh lemon add a nice touch. Our pine needle tea may be enjoyed both hot or cold. To prepare the perfect cup of tea, place one tea bag in a mug and cover with boiling water. Cover and let steep for at least 15 minutes to release oils and nutrients. Wonderfully pleasant on its own, but some also enjoy adding a bit of honey, chamomile, mint, hibiscus, lemon/orange peel, ginger, cinnamon, lavender, etc. For maximum freshness, we recommend storing tea bags in the refrigerator for up to one month. For longer storage, use a ziplock freezer bag, remove excess air, and place in the freezer for up to one year. Our needles are shipped extremely fresh and may have a small amount of condensation inside the packaging they are shipped in. Simply open the bag and let them air dry on a clean towel for 30 minutes before storing.

There are many health benefits of pine needle tea but I decided to try it as an expectorant for coughs and for relief of chest congestion. The tea was delivered very quickly with instructions on how to use and store. I found the tea bag to be strong with ample string. After steeping for 15 minutes, the water was somewhat clear and it had a delicate taste of pine. I refilled my tea mug twice with one bag. I did add a touch of stevia but enjoyed it with or without.
