These bags are really really huge. The bottom is straight across it doesn’t have additional plastic folds that t stand it up on its bottom. For myself, that is preferable. That way I can ladies flat in my closet without additional bulk at the bottom. These are very large. They are perfect for storing extra pillows that take up a lot of room as well as linens that are full of air like comforters and quilts. Each one of the bags has a plastic mechanism that seals the two zippers across the top. There’s also two extra ones included. There’s also a hand pump that screws onto the valve. The fact that it screws on is really appreciate it so that it doesn’t keep popping off of the valve every time I pull the plunger to create a vacuum. There’s two plastic zippers at the top. Having 2 versus 1 has obvious benefits. Plus they are color-coded so that yellow line will be in between two blue lines when they are properly sealed. This visual helps eliminate the guess work of whether or not I’m going to have a slow leak because I didn’t seal the top properly. These bags were perfect for me to pack up my off season clothes and smell enough to fit on a shelf in my closetThese bags of limitless storage can hold just about anything fabric that you need squishing down into a manageable block. I've used these for blankets, clothes, and precious keepsakes and I feel secure in the knowledge that they are all well protected. The plastic is thick but not stiff, so you know it's good quality; the zipper is the standard double seal with the weird clip thing to help sealing but is solid in its seal; the volume these things can hold is huge and is able to hold several thick blankets with no problem, and the hand pump that comes with it works like a charm. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a storage solution for either a lot of bulk items or travel. The last time I bought bags like this was about 15 years ago, they didn’t start of great and overtime have devolved into something resembling a grocery bag without handles and clothes thrown in. Honestly speaking I’d say everyone of us are dealing with limited closet space leaving us with no option than to stuff everything in a drawer resulting in a complete mess every time you dive in for a specific shirt. Something I wasn’t prepared for was the amount of choices available, they even come with a bicycle pump! which makes no sense , I want to take things out, not add more stuff ! I also don’t need a set of 20 bags. It’s always a bit of a gamble but these were a realistic amount of bags at a really great price. I can’t fault the quality, these feel sturdy, the zippers are thick and the valve really locks down. Almost on arrival i folded up some t-shirts, vacuumed out the air and it compressed perfectly. I eventually used two large bags and three of the smaller one and compressed half my closet and about 4 large drawers, then put everything on a top shelf in my closet. Crazy ! I should have bought these a long time ago, but the problem with home basics is they sit low on our needs list which they shouldn’t. One thing I’d love to see added in a future design would be side gussets to just get a tiny more space in each bagLove these bags they work great. Wish they came in a larger size. Medium was the largest they had when I ordered. They worked great for winter clothes and smaller blankets. I recommendEasy to useI like these bags for space saving but the largest bag was humungous! I put two pillows inside and there was still room to spare. Ultimately I ending up putting 1 pillow per bag in the not much smaller bag and there was room to spare there too. What I do not like is the stiff bag once compressed. Because there was room to spare the extra space is pretty stiff and that made it harder for me to store it where I wanted to. I want to store some seasonal clothing items and put those in the smaller bag but won't be able to store those the way I want to either because of the extra space. The bags, all of them get pretty stiff all over but that probably speaks to the quality. These bags are easy to use and no air has escaped yet. None of the brands I have tried compress as fully as the pictures but I would suggest that you stagger clothing like in most pictures for best result. I have some bags that are smaller than either of these that roll up and they will hold two outfits and are good size for storing in an under the bed box. My closet space is extremely limited. They would work well though if they were fuller and you have the space. Under that circumstance I would recieve these. They are a nice quality.Update: 1 of the 30x40 bags will not keep air out. I'm not sure why, I double checked the seal at the top and vacuuming it again. I keep the screw cap on it. It just won't work. I did email the company and never heard back from them.I was able to use the 28x20 ones for blankets and a queen size thick quilt. They work great but I really don't need the 30x40 ones, I'd rather have more 28x20. Easy to use, I just used my dyson to suck the air out. The clips fall off easy but I primarily used my fingers anyways. I like that they are clear as opposed to others. This lets me see what is inside easily.I bought three packs of these bags to store all of my daughters clothes in that she no longer fits in. They’re honestly easy to use and are pretty great. I had 5 jumbo boxes with all this clothes in so really needed to save some space and keep the clothes free from moths etc in loft so opted to vacuum pack. The image taken is after a few days of being vacuumed and so far so good. One of the bags so far have failed, had to be discarded, looks like it had a small puncture- hence the 4 stars only. Seems it was just faulty as all the others seem perfectly fine so far.I will update my review in a few months time to give a more accurate view on wether they will stay like this or if they let air back in.This is a winter jacket that my husband dont want to wear at the moment so have to store in closet, this vacuum bag does the job and it is in good size to fit duvet or pillows.I was very disappointed with this item, considering the price I paid for it. You expect quality, but that wasn't the case for me. In the photos and on receipt, it looked very sturdy, and was the perfect size for what we needed, the instructions were excellent ,and it seemed so simple to use. Sadly within a couple of minutes, 3 of the bags re-inflated, as each one had a pin hole in a similar place on all 3 in the top corner near the opening seal, bit of a coincidence I think!..once you could hear the air escaping, you could see the hole. As we had inflated them we guessed they could not be returned, so the only way to make sure they sealed was to cover them with sellotape, which seems to be doing the job. I have one left to use and I hope that one at least seals first time. I need to buy some more storage bags but they won't be these.I would be interested in a feedback from the supplier as to maybe replacing the faulty bags. Since posting the review, I have noticed that the last bag which hasn't been used, has the 2 sides id the bag fused at the point of the pinholes, I believe this is a fault in manufacture and I would like to make contact with Suob to discuss the problem. Maybe they have received a faulty batch,or maybe I was just unlucky..
