I loved these bags! They are surprising resilient (for a biodegradable product) and oh-so-soft. Typically I buy the Costco knockoff of Glad Force-Flex bags, but I wanted to experiment with adding compost to the lineup of waste receptacles at my massive summer family barbecues. I last used compostable bags in 2013 and they were horrible, shredding to ribbons with the slightest breeze. The Primode bags, though, were resilient and leak-proof for the 24 hours that they were deployed. I'd say they're almost as resilient as my normal knockoff bags and not as tough as the Glad ones, but both of those bags are non-conpostable.I know plastic compostable trash bags are only conpostable in industrial facilities, but since I'm curious/obstinate and these bags had a logo that seemed to imply they may be conpostable at home, I thought I'd try it. I dumped them out on my compost pile but the bags were so stretchy and resilient that I had to shred each tiny piece by hand like an adorable puppy shredding your favorite raincoat. I'm turning the heap periodically and my expectations are not high - these are plastic trash bags, after all - but I am terribly curious to see how this turns out.FYI, I would be careful to store these bags in a cool, dry, and dark place. They're conpostable, after all. Also, I wish they came in larger sizes.
